Contract Value: circa £250m
Project Scope: Mixed Use
Project Status: Approved

Comprehensive mixed use development of a remnant post 2012 London Olympics site dominated by rail and road infrastructure to provide two 27 storey towers of 380 residential units. This programme sits upon a 3 storey podium comprising retail, commercial office space, gymnasium, car and bi-cycle parking, bus layover, a taxi rank and the potential future expansion of Stratford International train station.

The overall accommodation requirements were complex, conflicting and extensive. Our vision is to drastically transform the road into a contemporary London streetscape utilising the “familiar” forms of brick and stone arched structures on a tree lined widened footway. The project accommodates a range of tenure and mix of apartment sizes and orientation, incorpo-rating significant private landscaped gardens and play space.

The rigorous and highly articulated elevations of the towers acknowledge the industrial heritage of the site and offer residents undisturbed views to The City and Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
