Watford is undergoing considerable redevelopment as its potential for commercial space is being realised. Clarendon Road is forming part of this renaissance and the Edward Hyde building, a large office built by L&G in 1989, was in need of some attention.
We designed a series of homely interior spaces set against the familiar backdrop of painted wall panelling and other domestic details. A new cafe re-activated the atrium, and a wholesale refurbishment of all the internal spaces was carried out. Externally, the introduction of climbing greenery and a new rooftop terrace completes the transformation into HYDE.
The project delivered 75,000sqft of prime Watford office space at the start of 2021.
