The office building addresses Stratford Station and engages the various levels of its public steps that connects the town centre bridge to Meridian Square culminating in a tiered and colonnaded frontage with retail activity set back to extend the public realm in what has arguably become the most central point in Stratford.
Carefully fabricated components including a reconstituted stone frieze with vitreous enamelled steel framing and fins provide a rigorous contemporary facade with solar shading and privacy screening. The mass of the building is split by a series of winter gardens.
This project combines two streams of the practice’s work: strategic urban masterplanning and creating high quality sustainable workplaces. The project will have landscaped roof gardens and numerous winter gardens, all floors will have access to outdoor space and enjoy views to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and the emerging cityscape.
